Bye bye, Lulou

Before we went to africa, lulou started falling - her back legs would just give out. My dad thought he would have to put her down but NOPE! She was great! Until.......we got to africa, and there were computers in one of the hotels, and my dad gets an email(from the roberts who are watching/feeding the pets) and says that lulou was found on the floor and peed all over herself and counldn't get to her food. They called my mom(who was in california) and asked if they should put her down. She was then taken to the vet, and put down. My dad got that email that said she was gone.... This is the most recent picture of Lulou. It was the Saturday of my mom's party.

We miss Lu, but in some ways sorta don't. Cuz she would come down the hall at 3AM and pant, and beg under the table at dinner. But...we all still miss her. Bye Bye Lulou. Even tho you weren't the greatest with kids, we still loved you!! Even if it didn't seem like it. We will miss you, even with a new dog. Bye Lu, emma

My mom's 40th birthday surpirse!!!

So it was around April-ish, and my dad said we were going to throw a SURPRISE party! Then May 29th came and she went to the spa, and came home, thinking she was going to dinner with my dad, and was soooo surprised! She thought that something was up, like that everyone would come to the restaraunt or something - but NOPE! When they started coming down the street, there was not a car on the street. Not even ONE!!!!! Dawn also came and helped decorate my room, and the rest of the house, too!! three helpers.

I've probably changed the name of my blog 20 times in the past 2 years. I guess I haven't found the "perfect" name - or in other words, the name that fits me! So, the Wild Life fits me perfectly!!!! ........................................ This week, we are watching Kate and Natalie T.! It's going to be so fun!! They are so funny! This morning, Natalie said(because we were talking about Eli with his pacy, and how Hudson has one, too - and Hudson is just a little baby), "Hudson is going to be a dad one day-" she laughs, "and he's gonna be taller than my dad, too!" AFRICA WAS SO COOL!!!!!!

I've got 10 non-edited pictures for you. the edited will come later. June 4-June 5: Get up at 3AM, get on a plane to Minn.-3 hrs., eat Chili at Chilies(horrible idea) hop on a plane to Amsterdam-8 hrs. feel like YUCK, hop off the plane, get on another plane(feeling like junk) to Kili.-8 hrs.. By now, i want to throw up...grab a bag and I get sick. Don't tell anyone(dad's in front, haley's sleeping, then gets up and chats about starbursts and makes me even more sick! haha) I then try to sleep - almost impossible. I sit on this plane FOR 8 HOURS WITHOUT GETTING UP ONCE!!!!!!! makes me worse- get to immigration in Kilimanjaro, throw up water-literally, then feel tons better. get to Arusha, and SLEEP!!!!!! June 6-saturday: Go to Mairowa(the school) - a 3 hour drive on a bumpy, dirt road, and cannot get out of the car there are so many kids around us!! (like below) and they all stand there staring at you(especially if you have blond hair, glasses and braces) then, the feeding-where they eat with their hands. (cute edited)(this ones not) go to hotel - an 8x8 room w/ concrete floors, and 2 beds.( i loved mairowa)June 7: also in mairowa, giving out sunflower cards(cards from sponsers at home) and teaching creation lesson. visit bomas, including our sponser, Faraja. go back to "hotel".June 8: go back to Arusha(city)(with nicer hotel) and, play cards with Haley. June 9: still in Arusha, go to market. June 10: Fly to Kondoa. Vist school. (all pictures above dotted line are in Kondoa) do same thing- visit bomas, teach in schools.

No, I have not talked so much about africa. Pretty much all most of you know is that I'm going with my dad to africa. With my friend Haley and her dad. It's june 4th the BIG day!! I'm on a plane probably. I will return the 14th!! Please...pray for me, that the plane will get us where we need to be. That the people there will be ready. that we can be safe and not sick....pray for our team...in general. And pray that we will try to forget who we miss back at home. thank you, friends! Pish-Posh Pish posh, Africa! I've sorta put africa in the back of my mind for a while. It's different...you know? But since just 2 weeks ago, I've started thinking of it again. Like when my dad asked if I would like to go to Africa with him, Haley, and Mr. Everroad...I was like.....WELL OF COURSE!!! But then I got to thinking....hmmmmmm...and so I pushed it to the back of my mind, thinking June 4th would be a long ways away! But nope!! It's tomorrow! And I have to get up at 3:30 AM!!! We will be on 3 planes!! (there will be a post tomorrow about stuff like that). I will miss blogging till the 14th! Then I'll tell all about it with pics and everything!! ......................................................................................... I took my very-first pill yesterday! I got my braces tightened on Monday, and decided to try Advil pills for once! After gagging some(if you ask the dentist(and me) I gag A LOT) i got it down, and then after 6 hrs or so, I took it like a breeze. Then this morning, I had to start my Malaria Pills! I started out, then almost choked--took the coating off(on accident), and-I have to tell you, these pills taste like BARF!! so I took it with grape juice instead! And it went down easily!! ........................................................................................ Well, this is my last post...til tomorrow(scheduled) then you won't see my for a while. I WILL miss this! i really really will.....So.....pray. for me. you will see the post tomorrow!
