Randomness

I have a bunch of pictures to post... but today, just some random, everyday stuff.

1. Christmas snack.

This stuff is so good.  It's like homemade Chex Mix... 20 times better.

2. Presents are under the tree.
And I am sooooo happy about that. ;)

3. I love the randomness of our tree ornaments.
This is just one of my favorites, there are many.

 4. I made this yummy stuff for lunch today.
Quesadilla with left over rice.  Yum.

 5. This is my favorite pencil case... ever.
Well, actually.  To tell you the truth, it's my only one.

I got it from Etsy, which is seriously my favorite place ever... online at least ;)

Fun post coming up tomorrow!

8 days until CHRISTmas break :)

Random Thoughts

1. Dorian.  (Sorry.  Just sort of felt like putting her as a category since she is on my mind :))  Man, if I wasn't Reagan's neighbor I don't know what she would do.

And all Dorian does is sing.  Which is a good thing.  Because she is the most amazingest singer everintheentireworldwowsheisfantabulous.  Just so you know.

Don't be shocked people.  She'll blow you away.  Literally.

2. My mother is a bread maker.
She also drinks Pomegranate Juice at night.  (Sorry, everyone.  Inside joke.)

She also loves Bruce and does foster care. (Sorry.  Inside joke, too.)  ;)

 3. Otis is such a dork.
He decided to chew up a ball with 8 bagillion pieces of fuzz inside.  While Eli was wearing tight pants.  Now thaaaaaaaaaaat's attractive.

Otis also decided to run a block up the street just because, "It's so much fun to chase birds.  Yum." I don't even know.  Ask him.

4. CHRISTmas time is finally here!

Which means train is out... and everything with that.  As you can see.

 5. You know you live in Arizona when...
There is a scorpion in your house!! (it was crunchy, just so you know.)

And when there is no sign of snow and the sun shines 24/7.  Literally.

6. These are my favorite shoes ever.
They rock.

And so do you.

Rocks.  Amen.

Get it?  Nope... neither do I.

CHRISTmas Tea

...with none other than Reagan Grace!

(Of course, with me it is not a party without my camera!)

Candy canes are her FAVORITES.

(these things were chewed and swallowed in a matter of minutes.)

It's not a party with Reagan without talking...

Peppermint Meringues.  Delightful.  I ate 5.  Reagan ate more than 7.

Just 10 days until Christmas break!!!!!

Some of my Favorite Things

Christmas time.

Altoids mints.

They're amazing.

These sweet sticks from Trader Joes.

Candy Cane Joe-Joe's are so amazing I could eat 12 of them in one sitting.

We burned the Christmas countdown candle last night :)

Nativity sets are up!

These two things are really yummy.

Advent has begun.  Chocolate for me.

Our mantle... looks really funny because since Eli was born after my mom bought these stockings, Eli has a mismatched stocking. Ha!

This was a really funny picture because Liam was showing Eli a book and Eli said, "Oh!  I know how to read that word!  It says 'THE'" haha!

What are some of your favorite things around CHRISTmas time?

Countdown to CHRISTmas: how-to

Here's another how-to!

Christmas Countdown

Super easy.  Super fun.  Super cute.

Supplies:

1 sheet of green paper
1 sheet of red paper

Scissors

String

Hole Punch

Sharpie or black marker

Tack or tape (optional)

Pencil

Ruler (again, if you are cut straight lines, this is not necessary)

Directions:

Using the pencil, draw 12 squares on both pieces of paper (the red and the green).  Cut them out.

Next, fill in the numbers with the Sharpie.  (starting with 1 and working your way up to 24).  **If you do not start this project today, then don't use the 24, 23, etc..)**

Punch a hole in the top middle of the square.  Cut a medium length of string.  Start stringing the squares onto the string, starting with 1 and working up to 24 (so that the #1 is at the bottom of the stack).  Cut the long, extra pieces of string off each side and tie knots at the ends of each side. (or loops if you are using tacks to hang it)

Next, figure out where you are going to put this countdown.  If you are hanging it around something (like I did) then just tie it around that so that it hangs like this:

If you are just hanging it on a wall (like my decoration yesterday), then you will just take tacks and attach each loop to a tack.  (Tape works, too!)

Then, take a strip of paper and, using the Sharpie, write "days until Christmas" and hang it beneath the countdown.

In the mornings, rip off the number in the front and there you have it!

A super fun project!

Have fun!

Today.

Today is December first.

The CHRISTmas tree is up.  (see that small, white creature on the bottom?)

It's really messy over there right now......

Christmas lights are up!

And it's chilly!  Finally!  I thought it would never come.  All those days of 115 degrees is just terrible.

Now it's in the 60's!

A post of another fun thing to do while counting down to CHRISTmas will be up soon!

24 days until Christmas!
